Churches Opening Their Doors to Teen Mother Choices

As TMCI’s Training Coach and Communications Director, I have the privilege of talking with our Program Directors, hearing how God is moving in their programs, and then sharing it with you through our newsletters. I am regularly humbled and amazed at how God provides in unexpected ways and, sometimes, at the last possible moment. Two of our TMC Programs have been trying to nd a place to meet for the 2020- 2021 LifeSkills Workshop year. Due to COVID-19, one program could no longer meet at the public library. The other program had been meeting in a home but needed more space. Two dierent churches in two dierent communities stepped up and said, “We have room for you!” A friend of the TMC Program Director reached out to the deacons in her church and asked them to consider the request. While the majority of the church is unfamiliar with TMC, they said providing meeting space would be their way of supporting the ministry. The other TMC Program had a church-planting group oer them a block of rooms in the building they just purchased. According to the TMC Program Director, she will be able to “decorate, utilize, and store our supplies here. We will also have use of green space for a future garden, storage for a food pantry for the girls (stocked by the local food bank), and use of a commercial kitchen.” When we commit to praying for our need, sharing it with others, and trusting God for the outcome, he provides more than we could ask or imagine. Thank you, God!

Please Pray for Our Program Directors

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” James 5:16

Would you please pray for our Program Directors? Not only are they serving teen moms and their children during a pandemic, but the majority are also caring for their family members; a newborn, aging in-laws, children who are distance learning, and spouses with medical issues. The enemy would like nothing better than to discourage, distract, and wear these women out. But God has bigger and better plans!
Pray for their encouragement. Pray for their protection and their families. Pray for wisdom and patience, as many are meeting over Zoom calls this year. Pray the armor of God would be covering them from head to toe. Pray for continued spiritual hunger, maturity, and that the gospel will be proclaimed in their program and lives.

We love these women and are grateful for their partnership in ministry.
