We’re thankful for the different men and women who serve within TMCI and the TMC Programs. We asked a handful of people (TMCI Board Members, TMCI Staff, TMC Program Directors, and former TMC Moms) to share what Easter means to them. Here are their responses:
Easter is the celebration of Jesus’ victory over sin and death through His resurrection. It’s also our assurance that eternal life is available to those who repent and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Traditionally, Easter means a time of family celebration, renewal, and rebirth. Spiritually, Easter means, love, freedom, majesty, light, glorious renewal, life, and hope. There are not enough words to express the beautiful gift of grace that is ours in Christ Jesus, proved by the resurrection!
Easter is the day that Jesus’s resurrection from the dead proves He is who He claimed to be. He is the one true way to everlasting life. Easter is Hope, Freedom, Love, and Assurance of God’s love for each of us and the greatest gift and sacrifice! I am humbled that the Son of God would die for a sinner like me.
Easter becomes a day that the local church seems to have some of the highest attendance as with Christmas. People look to fulfill an obligation and embrace religion. My hope for them is to get past the tradition of religion and find a relationship with Jesus. Understand what He did for us on the cross, and what was validated by His resurrection.
To me, Easter is a time for reflection, renewal, and hope. It signifies the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and life over death.
Mother Teresa summed up my feelings regarding Easter, “Look at the cross and you will know what one soul means to Jesus.” Easter brings one hope!
Easter has meant something so different and new to me this year! Like a whisper of “I’m making everything new. Do you believe it? Do you receive it?” For what feels like the first time, I’ve learned what it means to look at Jesus as Abba, and by changing the way I have said His name has broken down a barrier keeping me from crawling onto His lap. It taught me His true character. To finally learn to be fully embraced and loved in ways I never have before. Easter has taught me how to fully and confidently come as I am.
Easter means everything to me. The resurrection showers me with JOY over the LOVE of God that gives me HOPE!
