I’m Christa March with Teen Mother Choices

Consider this …
Hospitality is not a spiritual gift! Hospitality is noticeably absent in the New Testament, where the spiritual gifts are listed. Rather, hospitality is always mentioned as something God’s people are commanded to do. 1 Peter 4:9 states clearly, “Show hospitality to one another without grumbling.”

Hospitality does not have to look a certain way. It is not about putting on a 5-course meal or hosting a lavish event. Hospitality can be as simple as offering a bowl of tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches to my neighbors. Or, as one friend demonstrated, providing a refreshing ice cream cone to the mailman on a hot summer day. These small gestures make a lasting impression and embody the welcoming spirit that God calls ALL of us to cultivate.
