Please join us in congratulating Makayla for being chosen as TMCI’s 2024 Scholarship Recipient. Her mentor, Marla, nominated her for her dedication to the TMC Program and her education. Makayla has worked hard and has been accepted into a local college’s Physical Therapy Assistant program.
Since joining TMC, Makayla has taken and passed several academic diagnostic tests, received her high school diploma, contributed monthly to her savings account, has no debt, and filed her FAFSA paperwork for college. “Makayla is very motivated and determined. Whatever we (TMC) recommended for her to do as her next steps, she does it and is ready for the next one.”
Marla continued to speak highly of Makayla when she said, “She (Makayla) understands that it is going to take a lot of work and time on her part to make this happen, but she is determined to do it. She is a joy to work with and through this past year of working with Makayla, I am happy to also call her my friend.”
