Teen Mother Choices International (TMCI) is excited to share how God is equipping and preparing us for the next chapter of service to churches, individuals, and teen moms. Not only has He brought a new Executive Director and board members to join our team, but He is leading us to establish a flagship location in northern Illinois or southern Wisconsin.
Our two newest board members, Marcia Furrow and Nicole Raidart, were involved in the TMC Program. Marcia served as a mentor for ten years, walking aside four different teen moms, and Nicole was a TMC Participant. Their knowledge and personal experiences bring a fresh perspective to the TMCI Board.
It has been nearly nine years since a TMC Program was in northern Lake County, Illinois. The TMCI Board believes God is calling us to reestablish a location near our corporate office. While we don’t know which church will host the program, we are praying God will reveal the one He has chosen to partner with TMCI to oversee and govern a new TMC Program. In addition to providing the Four Cornerstones of the TMC Program to teen moms (i.e., mentors, LifeSkills Workshops, setting goals, and incentive services), the flagship site will serve as a destination location for those interested in learning more about the TMC Program. They can choose to come to Illinois, meet with TMCI leaders, visit a LifeSkills Workshop, and talk directly to a Program Director. How this flagship location can serve future programs is endless.
As a faithful ministry partner, we’re asking you to please continue to pray for these future endeavors. Along with praying, we want you to know that your continued financial support is needed even more now.
Would you prayerfully consider a special financial gift?
We are excited to see how God will take the foundation He laid more than thirty years ago when TMC started and continue to refine both TMC and TMCI for the next chapter in ministry life.
“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:14-21)
