Singing “Silent night, holy night! All is calm, all is bright.” is very different from feeling calm and bright. Few of us would use the word “calm” to describe the holiday season. Between the rising cost of housing, childcare, and groceries and the pressure to appear put together, the holidays are emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausting.
Teen Mother Choices (TMC) Programs seek to offer a calm place for teen moms to learn how to financially plan for the future while helping them with assistance today. Through volunteer Financial Advisors and TMC’s Incentive Service, teen moms receive individual guidance and financial support to work toward becoming self-sufficient.
Additionally, donations from churches and individuals provide Christmas gifts for teen moms and their children. This is a beautiful example of God’s people lavishing love on these young families like God lavished His love on us when He sent Jesus to earth to be our Prince of Peace.
