Throwing a Wider Net: How Teen Mother Choices® Is Growing to Reach More Young Moms

For 36+ years, Teen Mother Choices (TMC®) has faithfully walked alongside a small group of young moms at a time—usually about seven—through the Teen Mother Choices Program. Together with you, our generous partners, we’ve watched God transform lives, strengthen families, and open doors for education, employment, independence, and spiritual growth.

Our purpose has never changed:
“To glorify God and lift up the name of Jesus Christ by serving young moms.”

But n this season, we sense that God is inviting Teen Mother Choices to “throw a wider net.” While we will continue to walk deeply with young moms through the TMC Program, the need around us is simply too great to remain small and quiet. There are many more young moms in our communities who feel alone, overwhelmed, and unseen—and we believe God is calling us to reach them in new ways.

That’s why Teen Mother Choices is growing beyond a single program into a broader ministry with three key parts:

1. TMC Program – Our original, intensive, Christ-centered program that walks closely with a small group of young moms at a time, equipping them with mentoring, LifeSkills Workshops, goal-setting, and support.
2. Young Mom Connection – A new way to reach more young moms who may not be ready or able to commit to a full program, but still need encouragement, community, and hope in Christ.
3. Community Connections – A strategic effort to partner with churches, ministries, and communities so they are better equipped to identify, serve, and walk alongside young moms right where they live.

Together, these three parts will allow TMC to serve deeply and broadly—continuing to invest intensively in a small group of young moms, while also connecting with many more who might otherwise slip through the cracks.

• More churches and ministries will receive tools and encouragement to serve young moms in their own communities.
• More young moms and their children will experience stability, support, and hear or and see the love of Christ lives out before them.
