Welcome to the Arlington Heights Office at TMC!
Hello, and welcome to the Arlington Heights Group here at Teen Mother Choices. My name is Lisa Rudy, and I am the new Director for the Arlington Heights Office. You may recognize me as I am not new to TMC. I have been mentoring, assisting with fundraising events, financial counseling and even did a stint on the TMC Board of Directors. I am looking forward to my new role as I have a passion to support teen mothers and their children. TMC is a wonderful haven for young moms and I’m excited to meet and serve this year!
If you are a young mother who may have questions or you are someone looking to serve a teen mother as a volunteer, please feel free to contact me at 224-280-8286 or write me at email@example.com.
We are so thrilled to share the 2013-14 Program Year Theme:
Navigating the Waves of Life
Key verse: John 8:12 “I am the light of the world, whoever walks with me will have the light of life.” This year our young mothers will be learning how they can navigate the waves of life with Jesus as their lighthouse.

TMC Graduation Night, May 2013 - Jenny Vickery
What a very special and bittersweet night our final Lifeskills Workshop was with Jenny Vickery’s graduation. Jenny has been in our program for three years. During this time Jenny took advantage of the instructional Lifeskills Workshops as well as the Christian counseling which have equipped her to deal with several crises her family experienced in the last 2 years. Jenny was honored on graduation night with a wonderful meal prepared by our faithful friends from Arlington Countryside Church, and four of our alumni joined the celebration. Sarah Hill, Jenny’s mentor, challenged her with a personal, but open, letter filled with special memories, advice, and wisdom from God’s Word. Natalie Potesta welcomed Jenny into the alumni group with a personal invitation and flowers. A special time of prayer was a highlight of the evening when we all gathered around Jenny and prayed that God would continue to lead her and bless her as she parents little Hannah. Jenny was charged with Philippians 3:13, “I focus on this one thing: forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.” Forget the difficulties of the past and look for what God has in your future. We know God has plans for her as she moves forward, pressing on, and running the race set before her. Jenny looks forward to transitioning into the TMC Alumni group and working as a manager at a local pet day-care.
