Welcome to the Gurnee Office at TMC!
Hi, my name is Carrie Yeaman and I am the Director of Student Services for Teen Mother Choices in Gurnee. I am headed into my third year as Director of TMC. I was a school social worker for eight years, three of which were in the Grayslake School District. I am excited to use my professional skills, my motherly input and my ministry gifts to work with our teen mothers. It is an amazing opportunity to be able to walk along side our teen mothers to encourage their growth in all areas of their lives.
If you are someone who would like to learn and grow in our program or if you are someone interested in serving our group as a volunteer, please contact me at 224-280-8285 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are so thrilled to share the 2013-14 Program Year Theme:
Navigating the Waves of Life
Key verse: John 8:12 “I am the light of the world, whoever walks with me will have the light of life.” This year our young mothers will be learning how they can navigate the waves of life with Jesus as their lighthouse.

Gurnee Graduate May 2013 - Carina Delavega
TMC Gurnee was sad and excited to see Carina graduate from our program. She has gifted TMC for three years with her commitment and interest in learning. The night started with Carina putting on her cap and gown. She was read an acrostics of her first name: Courageously gives her opinion, Always improves hers and Hendrix’s lives, Richly blesses the people around her with her kindness, In a career that helps others, Never a dull moment because of her wittiness, Always committed to Teen Mother Choices. It was followed by the song, “It’s A Good Day,” by Jaime Thietten. Carina was then blessed with speeches from her mentor, PJ; counselor, Jasmine, and alumni Katherine. Following the speeches was the song by Sidewalk Prophets, “The Words I Would Say.” A prayer was given for Carina as all members of TMC Gurnee were able to place their hands on Carina to share their love and support.
The night wrapped up with a presentation of gifts to Carina, including a photo book, framed diploma and beautiful bouquet of flowers, and wonderful desserts made by our intern, Whitney. Everyone had a great time celebrating the new journey on which Carina will embark.
